FAQ
Quick answers to the questions people usually ask before booking.
Do I need to be an experienced rider?
Not necessarily. Some tours are chill and suitable for most riders. If you tell me your level, I’ll point you to the right ride and keep the pace comfortable.
What’s included in the tour?
Guiding, route choice, and a properly good day out.
E-bike rental is not included unless added separately, as shown on the
Prices page.
High quality protective gear is included in the bike hire price: half-shell helmet, knee pads, gloves, and jersey.
You’re welcome to use your own gear, or any additional equipment you prefer.
What should I bring?
What to bring
- A snack, if you’d like to eat during the ride (water is provided)
- Comfortable riding clothing suitable for the conditions
- Any additional gear you prefer that isn’t included
- Anything required for personal medical conditions
- Good will and stoke to ride!
What bike will I ride? Can I bring my own?
All tours are designed around modern e-bikes. If you choose to rent a bike, you’ll be riding a full 29” 2024 Focus Sam² 6.7, which is ideal for the terrain and distances we cover. The bike is equipped with flat pedals. Brakes can switch sides to better fit the rider’s usual setup. If you’d prefer to ride your own bike, that’s absolutely fine, just make sure it’s suitable and capable for the type of ride.
Is it child-friendly?
Yes! Tours can be suitable for children, depending on age, confidence, and riding experience. Because every ride is different, it’s best to contact me beforehand so we can choose the right route and pace and make sure everyone has a good and safe day out.
A child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. If a young rider is very experienced but cannot be accompanied, feel free to contact me and we can see what can be arranged.
Can I rent a bike and go for a ride myself?
At the moment, I don’t offer non-guided bike rentals. All rides are guided.
If you’re an experienced rider and looking for something specific, feel free to get in touch and we can talk about options.
Where do we meet?
Usually around Aljezur. Once you book, I’ll confirm the exact meeting point depending on the tour, conditions, and where you’re staying.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions aren’t good or safe, we’ll adjust the plan, move the ride, or reschedule. I’ll always keep it flexible.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes — you can book a custom or private tour. This is perfect if you want a specific type of ride, pace, or overall experience. Just tell me what you’re looking for and we’ll build it around you.
